The Olde Octagons of Indiana was founded on March 23, 1974, by a group of
serious MG enthusiasts located in the central Indiana area who felt that
local
interest was great enough to warrant the formation of a club. The
club immediately gained recognition by
The New England MG ‘T’ Register, Ltd. (NEMGTR) as a Local
Chapter.
The Chapter, known by its members as OOOI, encourages the
maintenance, preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of the ‘T’
series and vintage MG. The Chapter welcomes new members and encourages
anyone having an interest in the great little cars to join.
Current ownership of a 'T or other vintage MG is not required to join.
OOOI annual dues are used to publish the newsletter, maintain
regalia supplies, and to assist in establishing event activities.
The OOOI has been host to 4 Midwest Regional meets - the Gathering
of the Faithful, or GOF Central - most recently in 2015. With 173
registrations, this was one of the most successful GOFs ever, and
featured laps around the Indy 500 track, and a major showing of T-type
and pre-war MGs at the Indianapolis Executive Airport.
